Clubs/Activities

ART CLUB

  • All Grades (6th-8th)
    • Season: All Year
    • Advisor: Mrs. Meyer
    • Description: Students meet after school once a week in the art room and work on projects using different media.

DIVERSITY CLUB

  • 7th and 8th-Grade
    • Season: All Year
    • Advisors: Mrs. Duff and Mrs. Holmes
    • Description: An all inclusive club that provides a safe place for students to talk openly with each other about common struggles, feelings, and acceptance. Not only do students provide support for one another, they also discuss ways to get the entire school involved when it comes to diversity acceptance. LEARN MORE!

JAZZ BAND

  • 7th and 8th-Grade
  • Season: All Year
  • Advisor: Mr. Nutini
  • Description: A club for students that currently play instruments and would like to participate in a jazz setting.

LEGO LEAGUE

  • All Grades (6th-8th)
    • Season: All Year
    • Advisor: Mrs. Hardy
    • Description: First Lego League (FLL), is a program that has been designated to get children excited about science and technology.  Each year FLL teams from around the world work towards solving the current challenge using a variety of skills they have learned in the classroom.  In addition to using science and technology, participants will learn how to work together as a team and are challenged to explore an actual problem that today’s scientists and engineers are trying to solve, develop an innovative solution to that problem, and share their findings at a regional competition.

ONLINE MATH LEAGUE

  • All Grades (6th-7th)
    • Advisor: Mrs. Vandivier
    • Description: A club for students that have an interest in competing using their math skills.

SKI CLUB

  • All Grades (6th-7th)
    • Season: Winter
    • Advisor: Mr. Counts
    • Description: There will be multiple trips to Nordic Mountain, weather permitting.  Students from all grade levels are welcome to come and enjoy skiing or snowboarding.

STUDENT COUNCIL

  • All Grades (6th-7th)
    • Season: All Year
    • Advisors: Mrs. Vandivier and Mrs. Prado
    • Description: The purpose of the Tipler Student Council is to support the educational climate of the school by providing extracurricular activities and services such as socials/dances, fundraisers and other activities to promote school spirit.  Any Tipler/ALPs student may participate.

TIGER TV (NEWSPAPER CLUB)

  • 7th and 8th-Grade
    • Season: All Year
    • Advisor: Mr. Bosovic
    • Description: A club focused on the fun, creative activity of using videography instead of a written newspaper to bring awareness of topics important to students.
